D. Hill Town Park
On the day after opening day, I scored a legal largemouth for the dinner plate. There are not many fishing opportunities in the Park because of all the downed timber in the ponds (blamed on the beavers). I used my new fish cleaning board (it was just a plank of pine at this point). My Opinel folding knife was just strong enough to pierce the head of the fish, and the back of the blade was square enough to scale the fish effectively. I did manage to poke the tip of the knife into my thumb however, ugh.
Sorry I didn’t get a picture of the fish until after I cooked it. I was in a bit of a panic trying to determine the length of the fish. It turned out to be 14 inches, based on the Apple Measure app.
